Chief Investigator Josh Summerford
Josh Summerford began working as an Investigator in the District Attorney’s Office in 2008. He started his law enforcement career in 2001 at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Prior to being appointed to the District Attorney’s Office, he was employed as a deputy sheriff in Cherokee County. He has completed numerous advanced law enforcement training courses and is a graduate of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Academy.
Investigator Brad Gregg
Brad started with the District Attorney's Office in February 2014. He is a
graduate of Auburn University and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Academy.
He is a Certified Law Enforcement Executive. Brad serves as Chief of Police
for the Town of Mentone.
Investigator Wade Hill
Wade was hired by the District Attorney's Office in 2015. Prior to that he served as the Commander of Investigations for the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. Wade is also retired from the Fort Payne Fire Department where he served a Chief.
Investigator Gary Williams
Gary Williams began working for the District Attorney’s Office in 2003. He is a graduate of the Northeast Alabama Police Academy and holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in social work.
